Our Approach

At Chatten Psychotherapy, we believe in treating the whole person and not just their symptoms. We use evidence-based techniques and work collaboratively with our clients to help them achieve their goals.

Our methods include EFT, ACT, CBT, SFT, somatic, attachment-based approaches, and more! We take an eclectic approach and are always learning.

for each client, in every session.

Although we don't love putting people in boxes, we understand it's important for you to be aware of our experience in the field. We often support clients with challenges such as:

I'm Emily, the founder of Chatten Psychotherapy. I'm so lucky to say I LOVE what I do. I'm passionate about truly connecting with people and exploring their story, together.

Many of my clients come to me because they feel their mental health is getting in the way of daily life and relationships, often feeling like they are not living the life they desire. In our sessions, whether through couples therapy or individual therapy, we will explore your past and present thoughts, feelings, and relationships to better understand your unique experience. I can assist you in building strategies or simply be there to listen – therapy is your time, and you have control over every step of the process.

A quote I always have in mind when I enter the therapy room is, “This too shall pass.” By considering this, we remember that no challenge or feeling is permanent, despite what our minds might tell us. This perspective is essential in both individual therapy and couples therapy, as it encourages us to cherish what we have, recognizing that every day is precious. Engaging in the therapy process means you’re committing to working through those tough days while also aspiring to live each day in alignment with your values.
